It is a family-run (and friendly) establishment, has a large selection (24+ flavors), good prices ($3 for 1 scoop, $4 for 2, $5 for 3, etc), ice cream is locally made (not on site), and it has a large, fenced-in playground directly next to it that includes 3 large wooden and 1 metal playset (it is also lit at night - perfect for beating the heat!). What would have been a quick 15 minute stop turned into an hour of pure fun.
